About the Community

The century-old Warehouse was previously a pipe-organ factory, a card and woodworking factory for Melvil Dewey’s Library Bureau, and an Air Force research center before it became home to first-year graduate students at MIT. Opportunities are available to remain in the Warehouse beyond the first year if you join the Resident Assistant team.
